Douglas – DEPA

A rich source of long-chain omega-3 fatty acids DEPA contains a marine lipid concentrate that has been processed by molecular distillation. DEPA is an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids providing 180 mg of Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and 120 mg of Docosahexaenoic acid (DPA) per capsule.
Omega-3 fatty acids, which are found in flax and fish oils, have been displaced in the diet by a far greater intake of omega-6 fatty acids found in polyunsaturated oil. Supplementing with omega-3s helps to restore the essential fatty acid balance.
Omega-3 essential fatty acids have been shown to have a powerful impact on health. In particular, the omega-3s found in DEPA, such as DHA, help to support brain health. DHA plays a vital role in brain health, as it is an important structural component of neuronal cell membranes. DHA is also important for the proper development and neurotransmission processes in the brain while acting as a neuroprotector.
